Here is how we would shop if a friend asked us for help.

Three rules before you buy

  1. Look at what they already wear. A quick look at their bathroom shelf tells you more than any quiz. Sweet? Fresh? Spicy? Stay in that family.
  2. When in doubt, go fresh or soft. Clean, light scents are easier to like than heavy ones. You can always go bolder next year.
  3. Gift sets beat bare bottles. A set usually costs about the same as the perfume alone but comes with a lotion, shower gel or travel spray, already boxed.

Perfume gifts for her
